Objectives                                                                                                           

   The goals are to provide freshman engineering students with a solid background in basic physical concepts, and techniques for dealing with future engineering concepts built on physical laws, whether in mechanical or electrical engineering curricula. The PS further aims at providing students with excellent instruction in the theoretical courses, as well as good experimental training in the freshman physics labs. Recently, the PS equipped its physics labs with new advanced experimental devices, which give students the opportunity to get hands-on practical training via improved techniques.
