Outcomes

  1. Graduates should be able to apply basic knowledge of mathematics, statics, structural analysis, concrete and steel design, highway and bridge engineering, and identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.
  2. Graduates should apply engineering principles to design components, systems or processes, design and supervise engineering projects, analyze and interpret data, and use modern engineering tools.
  3. Graduates must demonstrate that they can work effectively on teams with members who may have different backgrounds and technical skill levels.
  4. Graduates should know the applicable professional codes of conduct for engineers, and their professional and ethical responsibilities as engineers.
  5. Graduates must demonstrate that they can communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
  6. Graduates must be broadly educated to know the impact of engineering and technology on society and the environment.  Graduates must also demonstrate awareness of contemporary issues and how they affect engineering and technology.
  7. Graduates should be prepared for continuing professional development, self-improvement, and life-long learning
