We would like to welcome you all to our homepage on the internet.
We strive to make our online existence a significant addition to our commitment to excellence in service to the University and to our students in particular. We hope you too will find the contents herein beneficial to your learning experience.

The Department of Humanities was established at the beginning of the academic year 2009-2010 to teach the provided courses according to Al-Balqa' Applied University outline plan.

The Department of Humanities is one of the eight departments under the Faculty of Engineering Technology. From the beginning of our existence, we are here to offer service basic courses such as Islamic Education, Arabic Language, English Language, National Education, Physical Education, Psychology, Education and Management Concepts to all the students of the Faculty as well as Military Sciences.

Today’s engineers and scientists need a background in the humanities and social sciences in order to make well-reasoned decisions involving human values implicit in technological options, to understand the ways human beings see themselves and the natural and social worlds, and to communicate effectively. Conversely, today’s humanists and social scientists need to be fluent in the natural sciences and engineering disciplines if they are to engage in the type of constructive dialogue essential to a well-informed and democratic society.

The mission of the Department of Humanities is to provide students with an integrated education that will give them a wide breadth of knowledge and perspective.

Our department currently employs twenty- nine full-timers, seventeen of which hold Ph.D degrees from various backgrounds and twelve MA holders. While continuing in our service to other faculties, we also make efforts for continuous improvement and enlargement as an independent department in these fields of science.
